The Artist

A Story Born
Venetian Works

This is not a new chapter begun lightly. With more than four decades working at the highest levels of design and graphics — building campaigns and visual identities for some of the world's most recognised blue-chip clients — the foundation behind every piece runs deep. What changed was the direction. Not the discipline.

The shift toward sculptural work came from a deliberate desire to use everything accumulated over a long career in a more personal, more instinctive way. Venetian plaster walls were the starting point — but their rigid, prescriptive process proved too regimented. The materials held genuine appeal. The rules did not. What emerged instead is something far more fitting: monumental Venetian wall sculptures conceived as collector objects — works that can move with their owner, be rehung, reconsidered, and taken into any space chosen for them. Unlike a fixed wall treatment, these pieces belong to the person, not the building.

The range of subjects reflects that freedom entirely. The work moves — between the tender and the confrontational, the decorative and the deliberately unsettling — because that is simply how life moves.

Each sculpture develops organically during creation, guided as much by instinct and feeling as by design. Ideas arrive at any hour. Fragments of thought, atmosphere, emotion, texture, memory, and light are noted as they arise, before gradually evolving into form. There is no fixed narrative, no series, no repeatable formula. The work reflects the shifting nature of emotion itself.

Produced entirely by hand, each piece is architectural in scale — typically 1200 × 1200mm or 1200 × 1800mm — and exists as a singular work. No edition. No replication. With only two or three sculptures completed each month, rarity is not a marketing position but a natural consequence of the process. Influenced by Venetian surfaces, ageing textures, shadow, and light, the work holds contemporary structure alongside a timeless, often deeply human atmosphere.

Each sculpture is intended for collectors who value rarity, authenticity, and permanence — and who want something on their wall that continues to reward attention long after it was first hung.
